Sheep River Ramblers Hiking Club
Welcome to the Sheep River Ramblers Hiking Club – a community where trails lead to friendship, fresh air, laughter, and shared adventure.
Sheep River Ramblers Hiking Club (SRRHC) is an all-year-round hiking club located in the beautiful Alberta Foothills. We also walk, trail bike, snowshoe and cross-country ski in winter.
With early roots in 2012, this is a very active and fun initiative that has been going strong 14 years later, in 2026.
More than just a hiking club, we are a welcoming group of people who come together to explore the beauty of Alberta’s foothills, mountains, forests, and river valleys while building meaningful connections along the way. Whether you are an experienced hiker or simply looking to spend more time outdoors with supportive company, you’ll find a place here.
Our hikes range from relaxed nature walks to more challenging mountain adventures, but the heart of the club is not just the destination – it’s the people you meet on the journey. Conversations on the trail, meals with a view, post-hike smiles, and lasting friendships are all part of the experience.
At SRRHC, hiking is about:
- Enjoying nature at a human pace
- Supporting physical and mental well-being
- Creating community and belonging
- Sharing adventure, stories, and encouragement
- Discovering Alberta together
We believe the outdoors is better when shared. Every trail offers an opportunity to connect – with nature, with others, and sometimes even with yourself.
Come hike with us. The trail is waiting.
